Cool Weather Road Trip

We set out Thursday afternoon to visit Bartlesville, Pawhuska and the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile, and ultimately in Alva for Hadie's 4th birthday party. The weather was wonderful. The nights were the coldest we've spent in the Bambi yet. On Sunday morning we awoke at the Great Salt Plains State Park to a heavy frost and fog across the river.

The Great Salt Plains

A few shots from our campsite along the river below the dam of the Great Salt Plains Lake. This is a remote (no cell coverage) beautiful, raw area of Oklahoma just south of the Kansas border. We were there for a visit with Kyle, Brooke, Hads and Everly. We'll definitely be back.

We camped in space 5 at the Great Salt Plains State Park. It's a good place to camp. Near our camp was a great playground for the kids. Nice hiking trails. The space we were in had water and electricity.
